COACH Tim- Founder and Director went on a fact finding mission to the childcare expo in the United Kingdom.
While in Manchester he attended the Childcare Expo UK at Event City in Manchester on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th June. Childcare Expo UK is the longest-running exhibition for the early years and primary education industry which aims to deliver inspiration, new skills for practitioners and teachers to take back to their settings and schools.
Observing the latest in innovation in products to thought leadership delivered by industry related personalities and politicians and their was even a workshop covering mindfulness. One that maintained relevance for us was Amanda’s Action Club which understood how physical activity (delivered through Music and dancing) is closely linked to wellbeing providing:
- positive health benefits and learning outcomes
- a direct link to good mental health
- improved concentration which benefits their long-term success and happiness
- Positive impact on behaviour,
- increases self-esteem
- provides opportunities for children to work together.
